Support Groups
Here at Breakeven, we offer multiple support groups
Support for Women
We understand how difficult it can be to reach out for support as a woman when you are experiencing gambling related harm, and how alone you may feel too. It can be difficult trying to cover the financial harm and manage your own life when the gambling feels all consuming.
We also understand how difficult it can be as a woman when you are worried about someone else’s gambling behaviour, and are feeling the effects that this can have on your own life. How alone it can feel not having someone to talk to that understands your situation.
We offer a support group for Women In Need of Gambling Support (WINGS).
Wings is an online platform, facilitated by a counsellor, where you can talk with other women in a similar situation. A safe place to feel understood, share experiences, and gain support, while gaining insights from listening to others.

You do not have to be alone.

Relax Outdoor Group
Come and boost your mental health and wellbeing by joining us for a relaxed, slow-paced walk every first Saturday of the month.
This is a chance to come and experience the benefits of what being outside can bring, alongside others who are also at the beginning, middle or end of their recovery journey with Breakeven. You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you wish. Starting with a planned walk, we will have time to chat freely and then come back together at the end to reflect and, if you wish to, talk about your recovery and share ideas, however, there is no expectation from any of the participants, and you are welcome to just come along and enjoy the walk.
- A chance to meet others on the same journey
- Being outdoors has been proven to improve your mood and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression – “Nature connectedness is (also) associated with lower levels of poor mental health, particularly lower depression and anxiety’ mentalhealth. org.uk 2021
- Being outside in nature can boost our concentration, problem-solving ability and encourage creativity.
